Emmanuel Okeke
Senior Software Engineer · Monterrey, Mexico
Senior software engineer, 5 years across mobile, web, and backend. Currently building stablecoin payment infrastructure at Blaze (YC S24) and solo-shipping TinyOps, a guardrail product for AI-augmented developer workflows. I write about the engineering decisions behind the build at okekedev.me/blog.
Headline projects
TinyOps
A declarative YAML rule engine for engineering teams. Policies as code, shadow-mode evaluation, multi-tenant by design, with first-class integrations across GitHub, Vercel, and Slack. ~90k lines of TypeScript across a pnpm/turbo monorepo. Built and shipped solo.
- Architected the rule engine: trigger / condition / action grammar, twelve operators including glob matching, shadow to live promotion gates
- Built the agent layer: published tinyops-mcp-server (MIT, 13 MCP tools) so any AI client (Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT) can manage TinyOps rules in natural language
- Failure-mode discipline: ~2,700 tests across api and web (100% passing), TypeScript-strict, structured self-review on every phase
Clavo
Full-stack SaaS for Mexican tradespeople. Web platform live, iOS app pending Apple approval. Quotes, SAT-compliant invoices (CFDI 4.0), WhatsApp delivery. Built end-to-end across Next.js, NestJS, React Native/Expo, Prisma, and Postgres in a Turborepo monorepo.
- Voice-to-quote (Whisper transcription, then AI extraction) and scan-to-quote (vision-based receipt scanning)
- Stripe Mexico (MXN subscriptions), Facturapi for SAT invoicing, WhatsApp Business API, Clerk auth

Writing
I publish engineering pieces at okekedev.me/blog. Selected:
The self-review loop visible in my recent commit history: write a phase, run senior-review, triage in writing, ship fixes in a separate pass.
Walk-through of the public MCP server: why guardrails fit the agent layer, the 13 exposed tools, and the honest beat on distribution.
A bug where three missing case statements silently disabled an entire class of rules. The fix was structural, not local.
A small feature the architecture happened to make easy: run the whole rule, skip the one part that bites, and count what happens.
